This is the result of a new database I built that can output the data from football-data.co.uk in a ridiculously short amount of time. Case in point – it’s taken me about as long to take 36 screenshots as it did to generate the tables. For each season there’s three tables – the first is the traditional points/goals table, the second has shots totals, and the third has ratio’s, shooting and save percentages, and PDO.
This was a fun test and a bunch of data I’m happy to give away. To save the hassle of copying these tables up send me an e-mail (address to the right of the screen) and I’ll put you on a list. My plan is to look into the surface stuff – which metrics are repeatable – and once that is done (probably in a month or so) I’ll send each of you a spreadsheet that has a copy of these tables to do with what you wish, with the condition that there’s a link to this post and my twitter handle when you the data in a study/plot etc.
So without further ado, here’s the data. If the text looks small click on an image to show it’s full size version. Enjoy:
